ACEP Ultrasound Section Global Health Website

For those interested in global health there has been a website developed by the ACEP US Section Global Health subcommittee about preparing for trips and doing potential ultrasound research in international settings. It was just launched here at the section meeting in Chicago. The website is here:

UCSF/Partners in Health Global Health Fellowship

Please see the above announcement from Dr. Regan Marsh, regarding a new program by UCSF in conjunction with Partners In Health -- a global health fellowship for most specialties (EM, medicine, peds, etc), but they have 2-4 spots specifically available for Emergency Physicians.

You and your colleagues may be interested in attending or presenting at the upcoming annual Global Health & Innovation Conference at Yale, which is the world's largest and leading global health conference as well as the largest social entrepreneurship conference. PEMC Abstract Deadline Extended to 8/31/2014!

On behalf of the scientific committee of PEMC 2014, we would like to inform that abstract submission deadline has been EXTENDED upon request.

Considering the requests of several potential contributors and to give all authors the same opportunity of further refining their submission, the Local Organizing Committee decided to extend the submission deadline to 31 August 2014.

If you wish to submit an abstract for Scientific Oral or Poster Presentation at PEMC2014, please do not miss the final chance to share your study with the PEMC2014.

Social Media Resident Chair Position

Dear Resident Members of GEMA,

We are looking for a motivated resident to become the Social Media Resident Chair for GEMA.

The role entails maintaining GEMA's website (www.globalem.net) and cross-posting on the Facebook/Twitter pages. The workload is expected to be minimal (e.g. an hour a week) and would great for the CV, for mentorship opportunities, and to become more involved!
